Native Pet’s refreshed identity aimed to capture the hearts of pet parents while asserting its authority in the pet supplements space. Partnering closely with their Creative team, we ensured brand consistency across all digital touchpoints—translating their visual and verbal identity into a cohesive web experience that balanced playful charm with industry credibility.
Like many design-forward e-commerce brands, Native Pet faced the challenge of balancing strong branding with intuitive user navigation. While visually appealing, their original site underperformed by neglecting the customer’s path to purchase. Our UX team reimagined key pages to prioritize conversion, placing shoppable features front and center, while weaving in brand storytelling seamlessly. By surfacing best sellers, integrating a quiz, and highlighting user-generated content, we improved product discoverability and optimized the experience for first-time visitors.
A key challenge in e-commerce is guiding users with varying levels of brand familiarity toward the right products. First-time visitors seek education, comparison shoppers look for differentiation, and returning customers want quick access to what they know. Native Pet stands out with its holistic solutions tailored to specific concerns, offered in various formats—from toppers to powders and chews. To address this, we restructured the catalog’s navigation to prioritize health concerns for broader relevance, while also surfacing product formats for returning shoppers, ensuring a seamless and intuitive browsing experience for all.
Continuing our mission to simplify and personalize the customer journey, we redesigned Native Pet’s quiz into a five-minute experience that guides visitors to the right products for their pets. Infused with the brand’s playful personality, the quiz begins with the pet’s name and moves into lifestyle habits, making the interaction feel tailored and engaging. Upon completion, users receive personalized bundle recommendations alongside individual product suggestions. To further boost conversions, we introduced a buy 3 savings progress indicator within the cart drawer and product pages, encouraging shoppers to explore more. These enhancements contributed to a 60+% increase in average order value.
A core pillar of Native Pet’s identity is doing things differently than the “big dogs”—through in-house research, a pet-first approach, and a rigorous formulation process. We brought this commitment to life on the product pages by spotlighting The Native Pet Difference. Each page was designed to educate and build trust, featuring product benefits, how it works, key ingredients and their functions, research-backed results, competitive comparisons, and related blog content to provide deeper insights for pet parents.
Search is often an overlooked feature in e-commerce, yet it plays a crucial role for time-sensitive users who prefer direct discovery over traditional navigation. To support these behaviors, we enhanced Native Pet’s search functionality with popular queries, smart product recommendations, and segmented results that distinguish between products and blog content. This dual-path approach empowers users to either quickly find what they’re looking for or explore deeper through educational resources, delivering a streamlined, structured, and user-centric experience.
