Context

Socceroof is a premiere U.S. and Canadian-based soccer facility network that aims to change how soccer is played in North America. With 100 facilities expected to open in the next five years, Socceroof is rapidly expanding into a global brand.

Objective

Our objective was to define the best growth framework for Socceroof’s Youth Vertical to convert and scale its customer database for youth programs, allowing it to replicate this strategy easily for each new facility.

Strategy

Our strategy was to promote the Youth Soccer Class and implement a SaaS strategy for this BtoC company. We offered a Free Trial to convert people and then upsell them to other programs.
  1. 1. Free Trial PPC Campaigns:

    To rapidly gain leads for Socceroof’s Youth Class, we launched a Free Trial Campaign, targeting parents in the neighborhoods around Socceroof’s facilities, offering them and their children a free introductory session to the class.
  2. 2. Retention:

    Leads are directed to a landing page where they take a quiz to determine which program is right for them and which location and date are most convenient. By collecting their email address, we can nurture the leads with content and special offers through automated workflows.
  3. 3. Upselling:

    Once the parents and kids are converted, we implement a strong content strategy to capture special moments, strengthening their connection to Socceroof. We also leverage SMS and E-Marketing workflows to promote offerings and special events to upsell existing clients.

Improvements:

With the implementation of our lifecycle marketing strategy for Socceroof’s youth program, we decreased the CAC to $46.42, by onboarding new kids at a $16.79 Cost Per Trial to $16.79, bringing the immediate ROl to 3.84x. In addition to reducing overall costs associated with converting and retaining clients, this strategy has provided Socceroof with a clear framework for future implementation.
